The
United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to its
searchable website of Mexican environmental legislation.
The availability of this site and its searchable database
represent a significant effort on the part of the Chamber, working
in collaboration with Mexico’s Federal Environment Ministry –
SEMARNAT– to provide the North American trade community with a
collection of Mexico’s federal, state and municipal laws in
formats that can be easily accessed and searched via the World Wide
Web. We welcome your
comments.
As
you use this on line, searchable database of Mexico's environmental
laws, regulations and technical standards, we want to emphasize just
what the website is, as well as what it is not. First, the website
is a service comprised of search engines, tools, and other software
to make the website user friendly. This service and software design
provides value to users. The laws, regulations and technical
standards that are accessible through this service are not the
products being offered. These laws, regulations and standards are
available through a variety of sources, including governmental
agencies and Mexico's Diario Oficial, and can be obtained from these
other sources under terms and conditions that apply.
Secondly,
Ventana Ambiental Mexico is not providing legal services. If a user
wants to procure legal services, the user may use the traditional
means of obtaining legal services, including contacting bar
associations and chambers of commerce. The United States Mexico
Chamber of Commerce does have numerous listings for legal services
in its directory and its Business Research Center will assist users
in identifying specialists in various fields. You may obtain this
assistance by emailing: research@usmcoc.org
The
search capabilities are available by using a key word or string of
words in the basic search window, such as water, soil, energy or
other key words. The advanced search features categories than can
narrow the search and produce more focused results.
