• Homeland Security and Coalition of more than 1,150 Launch National Preparedness Month 2006. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced today that more than 1,150 national, regional, state and local organizations have joined the department to take part in National Preparedness Month.  This nationwide effort encourages Americans to prepare for emergencies of all kinds in their homes, businesses, schools and communities. (August 31, 2006)

• DHS Highlights Best Practices for Maintaining Legal Workforces. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today announced a new initiative and best business practices to help employers ensure they are building legal workforce through voluntary partnerships with the government. (July 17, 2006)

• U.S. Mexico Chamber of Commerce was the only business organization invited to observe Mexico's 2006 Presidential Elections
  Mexican citizens turned out in mass to vote for their new President for a six year term lasting from 2006-2012.(July 6, 2006)
