U.S.-Mexico 2012: A Presidential Election Year & Good Neighbor Awards

The United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce (USMCOC) is pleased to announce that the annual Conference and "Good Neighbor" black tie Awards Gala will be held on April 24-25, 2012 in Washington, D.C. This year's Conference entitled "U.S.-Mexico 2012: A Presidential Election Year" assures to continue the Chamber's reputation for providing our members who are key business and industry executives from both countries with topical, in-depth reviews of issues affecting U.S.-Mexico business strategies.

The 2012 annual conference is specifically designed for private and public sector executives and managers to discuss the issues directly impacting their business growth on both sides of the border. The two-day event kicks off on Tuesday, April 24th with a Private Presidential Luncheon and our annual Board of Directors meeting, followed by a welcoming reception for all our guests. The conference continues on Wednesday, April 25th at the Jones Day Office Building (located in 52 Louisiana Avenue, N.W. Washington D.C. 20001) and will feature presentations on major issues affecting the U.S.-Mexico business relationship, including:

*U.S. - Mexico Economic/Financial Outlook
*Crossborder Trade, Manufacturing and Technology
*Mexico's Public-Private Associations Law: Private-sector participation in infrastructure and transportation.
*U.S.-Mexico Presidential Elections Analysis

The event culminates the evening of April 25th with our “Good Neighbor” black tie Awards Gala, which will be held at the Mayflower Hotel. The Gala will continue the Chamber's long standing tradition of honoring individuals in the private and public sectors that have made outstanding contributions to U.S.-Mexico relations. The 2012 Good Neighbor Awardees include: Dionisio Pérez-Jácome, Mexico's Secretary of Communications and Transportation and Ray LaHood, U.S. Secretary of Transportation; and from the private sector José Antonio Fernández, Chairman, FEMSA-Coca Cola, and Jim Young, Chairman and CEO, Union Pacific Corporation. A Special Recognition will be given to Alfredo Gutierrez, Director, Mexico’s Tax Administration Service and Alan Bersin, Assistant Secretary for International Affairs, Department of Homeland Security and Former U.S. Commissioner for Customs and Border Protection.

Accommodations
For your convenience, lodging has been reserved at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel located at 1127 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20036 with a deadline for reservations of Friday, April 13th. Please note that the Good Neighbor and Presidential sponsorships and the individual ticket prices include the conference and gala activities, and a two-night hotel stay.

Cancellations
NOTE: All registrations are on a confirmed basis. Registration fees will be refunded, less an administrative fee of $ 75.00, if written notice of cancellation is received by April 13th, 2012. In submitting this registration form, registrant acknowledges that registration fees are not refundable if cancellation is made after April 14th or for registrations accepted after the April 13th deadline.
