The United
States-Mexico
Chamber of
Commerce is
honoring public
and private
sector leaders
for their vision
and continued
commitment to
closer
commercial
relations
between Mexico
and the United
States.
For more than a
decade, we have
gathered in
Washington,
D.C., to witness
the presentation
of the Good
Neighbor Award
to ministers,
ambassadors,
governors,
congressmen,
former
presidents,
corporate CEOs,
chairmen of
organizations
and others who
have made a
significant
difference in
U.S.-Mexico
relations.
In 2004 the U.S.
- Mexico Chamber
of Commerce
instituted the
José Juan de
Olloqui" Award
for North
American
Leadership.

The José Juan de
Olloqui Award
recognizes
committed
leaders and
their
contributions to
economic,
political and
social
development
resulting in
region-wide
improvements in
the lives of the
people of North
America.
The
presentations
take place each
year at a black
tie awards gala
set in a
magnificent
location, such
as the
Organization of
American States
Building, a
venue that
symbolizes a
united
hemisphere
incorporating
thirty-four
member nations.
The U.S.-Mexico
relationship is
an important
facet of
hemispheric
relations. The
Chamber salutes
the individuals
and corporations
that have led
the way toward
greater
cooperation and
partnership. |
