6 Fiscal Reform 2008 Breakfast
As of Jan 1, 2008 a new tax was introduced in Mexico called the Impuesto Empresarial a Tasa Unica (“IETU”), in English Business Flat Tax, which is replacing the Asset Tax. This new tax is also a minimum tax in Mexico. Some companies are filing an "amparo" or injunction to protect themselves against this new flat tax, especially since costs and investments made in 2007 would not be deductible against this new flat tax. The filing of an amparo is set for February 12th, and this date is coming up very soon. The US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce-Pacific Chapter has decided to consider organizing an event to discuss this new tax law and its implications as well as a general discussion of the 2008 Mexican tax reform.
Time: 8:30 - 11:30am Location: 2450 Colorado Avenue Suite 400 E, Santa Monica, CA 90404.
Free Event!
